EMI test & EMS test
An electric product might cause the malfunction to other electric appliances
by discharging the emission noise from it, or is oppositely caused the
malfuction by the emission noise from other electric appliances. The former
is checked by the EMI test and the latter is checked by the EMS test. The
international standard like the CISPR standard is provided so that such
an accident should not happen, and the manufacturer must declare by themselves
beforehand that their product meets the standard. The generic name of the
EMI test (Electro-Magnetic Interference) of the emission measurement and
the EMS test (Electro-Magnetic Susceptibility) of the immunity measurement
is the EMC test (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility). As for the EMI test,
it is further classified into the radiated emission discharged into the
air and the conducted emission discharged to the power line.
The restriction standardized concerning safety and quality of the product
is called " New Approach Directives." The CE is marked on the
product to show that fills the essential requirements of this directives.
The most important directive regarding electronic equipment is EMC Directive.
Any products without CE mark cannot be sold in EU countries of Europe.
The restriction of EMC is applied not only in Europe but also in Japan
by the VCCI standard and in the United States by the FCC standard. Even
in Asian countries such as China and South Korea, the restriction becomes
stronger and the recognition to the EMC test or the EMI test has risen
very much.
Precompliance EMI Test System |
 |
 |
| MR2300 |

New Product
The formal EMI test using a radio anechoic chamber is usually accompanied with long waiting time and many costs. If that test is repeated again and again every time the problems are solved, still more time and money will be lost.
The MR2300 is used to solve EMI problems in advance “Precompliance”, so that the number of times of the formal EMI test will be reduced to fewer
(one or two times).
When the EMI test is compared with the EMS test, the EMI test requires
more time and more labors from experience. |

Line Impedance Stabilization Network |
 |
 |
| MPW201 |
 |
The conducted emission discharged through the power supply line is measured
by using the line impedance stabilization network (LISN).
To measure the disturbance noise with reproducibility, the LISN, which makes
constant the impedance of the power source observed from EUT, is inserted in
the power supply line.
The output impedance of the disturbance noise to be
measured is 50 ohms.

Precompliance EMS Test System |
 |
 |
| MR2350 |

New Product
It is evaluated in the EMS test whether the EUT causes the malfunction
by a peripheral electromagnetic wave. This radiation immunity test (IEC/EN61000-4-3)
can be done with the precompliance EMS test system MR2350 described in
this catalogue. The malfunction of the EUT can be observed on the PC screen
through the EUT camera monitor put in the anechoic box. Of course, the
EUT should be an equipment whose malfunction can be visually judged such
as an equipment with LED or LCD. |

Precompliance EMI+EMS Test System |
 |
 |
| MR2400 |
The system combining the EMI test system MR2300 and the EMS test system MR2350 is the EMC test system MR2400. The PC software is MAS240.
The price of MR2400 becomes much lower than purchasing MR2300 and MR2350
separately because the anechoic box MY5310/5310S/5410 and the broadband
antenna MAN101/102 are common to two systems.

EUT camera monitor |
 |
 |
| MEC235 |
 |
The MEC235 is a camera to put in an anechoic box or chamber and to monitor the EUT. This is the most suitable for checking whether the EUT causes the malfunction in the radiation immunity test.
Because of being put in the anechoic box, the main body of camera is covered
with the radio wave absorber (ferrite tile) and the pedestal is made of
plastic. Therefore, the unnecessary reflection by the camera are suppressed.
The camera can be zoomed up to 42 times, and the view range can be controlled
within ±29°on the right and left, up to 23°upward and up to 35°downward.

Magnetic field probe |

 |
| CP-2S |
 |
The CP-2S is used to measure the noise on a print circuit board connecting
to the spectrum analyzer for EMI MSA338E. The measured value is calibrated
in the MSA338E.
The CP-2S is not affected by adjacent patterns because of high space resolution.

Electric turntable |
 |
 |
| MT106 |
 |
The MT106 is an electric turntable of 220mm in diameter and 15kg in load.
And this is controlled by the PC.
This can be installed only in the anechoic box MY5310/5310S.
The MAS20T (manual control) and the MAS240T (automatic control) are lined
up as PC software.
