    Start switch
    1. The measurement starts by pressing the non lock / pushing type switch (key top of 24mm diameter) on the main frame.
    2. Or, it starts by the signal from EXT START connector on the front panel of the main frame.

    The starting operation can be performed with a foot switch or the like if EXT START is used.
    MODE switch Mode A, Mode B, BOTH
    LED
    1. PASS
      Turn on when the test is passed.
    2. FAIL
      Turn on when the test is failed.
    3. ABNORM
      Turn on when the tester is abnormal. The abnormalities of the tester are the following three items.

      ・Abnormalities of power supply of tester

      ・When the tester senses the existence of carrier

      ・Abnormalities by self-check

    Legal condition SinceME8800E is modified, it is necessary to acquire the certificate conforming to technical standard elsewhere.
    However, this legal condition is not applicable if the test is conducted in a shielding room.
    Holding instrument The structure permits adjustment of the mounting angle.
    However, it is an optional.

Operation of main frame

  1. START switch and EXT START input
    Start the test by pressing the START button or by shorting two terminals of EXT START input.
  2. MODE setup
    The test is conducted at 5.795GHz when Mode A is selected, and the test is conducted at 5.805GHz when Mode B is selected. The test is conducted in both Mode A and Mode B, if "BOTH" has been selected.
  3. All three LED 's are lit during the test, and any one LED is lit for approximately 5 seconds in correspondence to the test result after termination of the test. In case of BOTH, "PASS" is indicated if results of tests in both Mode A and Mode B are acceptable. "FAIL" is indicated if test results are not acceptable in either one or both modes. Also on occurrence of tester abnormality, "ABNORMAL" is indicated if abnormalities occur in either one or both modes.
    * The lamp also operates the same.
    * Please refer to "Lamp, buzzer and LED operation table."
  4. Lamp fuse
    It is fuse for power supply to lamp.
